| 超时劳动极大地影响了劳动者的身心健康和生活质量，已成为制约社会健康运行、阻碍经济高质量发展的深层次问题。基于中国家庭追踪调查（CFPS）2010-2022 年的调查数据，运用Probit 模型考察住房产权对青年劳动力超时劳动行为的影响。研究发现：家庭拥有住房产权会降低青年劳动力超时劳动的概率，采用工具变量法、倾向得分匹配法、熵平衡匹配法及一系列稳健性检验后结论仍然成立；住房产权能够通过财富积累效应、产权增值效应和信贷压力效应显著缓解青年劳动力的超时劳动行为；住房产权归属和类别不同对青年劳动力超时劳动行为的影响存在明显异质性特征，住房产权对低技能水平以及独生子女身份青年劳动力超时劳动行为的缓解作用更为显著。研究结论为政府健全完善住房供应体系，营造良好的就业环境，从而促进经济社会良性发展提供了经验依据。 |

| Overtime work greatly affects the physical and mental health and quality of life of workers, and has become a deep-seated problem that restricts the healthy operation of society and hinders high-quality economic development. Drawing on data from the China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) spanning 2010–2022, this study employs a Probit model to examine the impact of housing property rights on the overtime work behavior of young laborers. The findings reveal that household ownership of housing property rights reduces the probability of overtime work among young laborers. This conclusion remains robust after applying the instrumental variable approach, propensity score matching, entropy balancing matching, and a series of robustness checks. Moreover, housing property rights can significantly mitigate young laborers’ overtime work behavior through the channels of wealth accumulation effects, property appreciation effects, and credit pressure effects. The impact of housing property rights on overtime work behavior shows notable heterogeneity across different ownership statuses and property types, with particularly pronounced alleviating effects among low-skilled young laborers and only children. The findings provide empirical evidence for the government to improve the housing supply system and foster a favorable employment environment, thereby promoting healthy economic and social development. |
